Puzzle Cube

Objective: Brainstorming and sketch positive solutions to an existing design problem. Select an approach that meets or satisfies the constraints given in a design brief. Create simple extruded solid computer aided design (CAD), models from dimensioned sketches.

In this project, we first defined the problem in the design process. After brainstorming our ideas and sketching different combinations, we selected an approach. Choosing 5 different combinations to make a 3 by 3 cube, then creating a prototype out of wooden cubes. The final step was to create a packaging for the Puzzle Cube. In the the packaging, we had to include a logo, a title, warnings, and we had to consider the colors that would appeal to the target audience. These steps are shown in the pictures below.

<--- This is my engineering notebook. This is where the objective, design process, packaging, and the conclusion questions could be found.

Applied Statistics

Objective : Students will generate a data set of the linear measurement. Calculate the mean, mode, median, and range of the data set. create a histogram of recorded measurements showing class interval and frequency.

Dial Caliper

 Measurements for the 27 cubes

Notebook
In the above picture I calculated te mean, mode, range and median. After finding the measurements of the 27 cubes, I did the math to find the mean, mode, median, and range of the data set.

Sketching Techniques

Oblique Pictorial
Its where the drawings are seen from the front veiw.

 Isometric Pictorial
Its where the drawings are seen when three lines meet at one point.

Perspective Drawing
Its when a drawing is drawn from one-point, two-point, three-point

History of Measurements

In this project my partner Carissa Viera and I worked together to answer the questions that were given to us. We organized all the information we found out into a powerpoint presentation. We found out various information about measurements, such as the treaty of the meter and the act of 1866. In the project we also created a CD cover with meaurement questions on it.

The other half to our project, the CD cover.

This is my engineering notebook, its where I drew and labled what i was doing

Product Evolution :)

Here my partner and I were brainstorming on what we should choose to have has our product. After choosing it we wrote some facts about the television and where we were getting the information from.

Heres my power point presentation. Basically, I organized all of the information I gathered over time, and put them in a power point that people can understand clearly.

After I finished the power point, I did the conclusion questions. the questions just sumed up the assignment I did.

Beverage Container

Here is where my partner and I brainstormed different ideas to make a plain plastic cup better. We turned the plain plastic cup into an item people would want to buy. It has two different tops which gives the beverage two different temperatures. It also comes with different holders.

These are my conclusion questions written in my engineering notebook.

Our final product. We designed the cup so
that it has two different tops. One being cold and the other being hot. We also added cup holders, so that the consumer wont feel the temperture of the beverage. Whether being cold or really hot.
